The fact of the matter, you're going to have rude people everywhere in your life, they will come in and out of your life, it just depends on how you deal with people like that, and know how to be kind to everyone, even if you don't agree with what they say or believe. even when we report someone for being rude or cussing, yahoo does nothing about it. seems like a waste of time reporting them

Because not enough people report violations, but plenty feel compelled to answer inappropriately (potential consequences aren't serious enough to bug most users). People ask this question here (a version of it) regularly. Knowing WHY it happens doesn't stop it from happening, but more users making use of the little report flag, MIGHT reduce violations being posted or remaining posted for long.
