Why does this forum still have rude people answering questions on it?

The fact of the matter, you're going to have rude people everywhere in your life, they will come in and out of your life, it just depends on how you deal with people like that, and know how to be kind to everyone, even if you don't agree with what they say or believe. May God richly bless you and save you and watch over you and protect you from Satan the evil one who prowls about the world, seeking the ruination of souls of the whole world.

Yes, yes, yes! I recently posted an answer about a driving incident I was in. I implied my reaction to it was entirely in the wrong, SEVERAL TIMES, but I honestly felt it was a personal attack, what the other drivers did. Three managed to get in front of me when I was driving on the freeway, driving farthest lane, going the limit, I did not notice them behind me, if they were, they were way behind me. They suddenly moved in front of me, I should not have acted the way I did, no excuse at all, but it was an overreaction as I later pondered and had nothing to do with me, had to do more with the semi that was holding up the middle lane (trucks do get off the exit before the part we were all driving on), but I am only human, I make mistakes just as much as everyone else here does, and no one (no one) is a perfect driver. I try to be a safe driver at all times, but I have emotions as with everyone else. I realize others can say I am in the wrong, and I entirely accept the fact I was, but to jump on me, when they do not even know me, to say I am this type of person, when I am not at all, at least I try not to be, just hurtful. No one wants to be judged, yet unfortunately we live in a very judgmental world. Treat others how you want to be treated, eh?

even when we report someone for being rude or cussing, yahoo does nothing about it. seems like a waste of time reporting them

Because not enough people report violations, but plenty feel compelled to answer inappropriately (potential consequences aren't serious enough to bug most users). People ask this question here (a version of it) regularly. Knowing WHY it happens doesn't stop it from happening, but more users making use of the little report flag, MIGHT reduce violations being posted or remaining posted for long.

Sadly that is the way it is on this site, most people are anonymous so they think that they can say and act however they please, no matter if it offends anyone. The internet is full of people like that and we just have to put up with it, or we move to another site.
It is not how we want this site to be but that is the way it is now.

Because it doesn't have the same rules as Quora. If you don't like this site, then leave.
