Silicone or metal muffin tin?

Which do you prefer?

This is a baking question. Someone relocated it to Entertainment and Music/polls, but I re-relocated it to Food/cooking. I’m asking because I’m about to buy a new muffin tin and I want to know whether people prefer metal or silicone.

I don’t like paper liners. They stick to the muffins.

I prefer metal, but if I'd to use silicon I would put them on a tray [not on the oven shelf].

Yes paper liners stick to the muffins. They are supposed to. It is one of the things that keeps muffins fresher.  The less of the muffin that is exposed to air the less of a chance for it to dry out.
But to answer...
Silicone pans of any type tend to leave the baked good less brown and much softer. Almost damp in my experience.  So I lean to the metal muffin tins.
Get a good quality, heavy duty one.

Either does the work, silicone is easier to get, sometimes also easier to use so I use silicone. But metal is better.

Always metal. Silicone is a pain in the a$$. It is too wobbly.

Silicone is a waste of money and is better used to line the corners in a bathtub or for breast implants. Just use the dreaded 'paper liners'.
