Chemistry Question? --- Nuclear Fission Equation?

I feel so stupid right now. I wish i could answer this on my own but i seriously have no clue how to even begin this one. My teacher assigned us a project where we do independent research (hence, she has not taught us this stuff before) so i feel kinda lost. 
Could whoever answers this please also explain how they got the answer to this so that i will know how to solve questions like this in the future please? Thank you so much.

The idea is that the 'top/bottom' numbers must be equal , respectively. 
So on the product (RHS) the top numbers sum to  141 + 92 + (3 x 1) = 236
So the sum of the numbers on reactant (LHS) must equal 236 
Hence we have 
x + 235 = 236 
Hence x = 1 
Similarly on the bottom
56 + 36 + (3 x 0) = 92 
Hence LHS = y + 92 = 92 
Hence y = 0 
So a particle of (1/0) mass is a neutron(n). 
Hence in the line space the answer is [1/0]n. That is one neutron. 
So the balanced equation is
1/o n + 235/92U = 141/56Ba + 92/36Kr + 3(1/o n) 

What its doing is one neutron bombards a Uranium -235 atom, which splits(fission) into a Barium-141 and a Krypton-92  atoms and three  more neutrons.

NB 'Fission' is splitting atoms. 'Fusion' is joining atoms.
