Wanting to be a big brother to younger kids that I live with we are family with them I am trying to get her oldest to see that I think of him as a little brother and we don’t have to be related to have a brother relationship?

No because being a friend is someone who is closer than a brother or sister sometimes and that makes you family. Family is where the heart is regardless if you are related or not everyone needs love.
