So let's say a soldier has completed his AIT training and is now a Paralegal in the Army. Will those soldiers still get periodic combat training every now and then? Maybe a field exercise or trip out to the shooting range to practice with the rifle?
Can you provide some examples or what is pretty standard?

If you're base is attacked, you think you will be exempt from the firefight?
Let me give you an example........when I was a Navy Reservist, I was activated and sent to a Army unit at a large Army base. I thought I would just fill in for a unit that had deployed.
Oh noooo, no such luck, within 3 weeks of checking in, I received all new equipment, uniforms, weapons, armor, and full medical. I was put on a transport plane and my rear-end was flown to Afghanistan. After being at the large base for just a couple days, I was put on a helo and flown to a small firebase high in the mountains.
There were only 25 of us at this base. When we were attacked, all hands grabbed weapons and defended our base. All hands meant EVERYONE!
All the Army grunts, cooks, Admin, mechanic, (me), everyone was in the fight.
If you think you're to special to bear the burdens of service like everyone else that serves, do the Army and favor......stay at home!!
