I don't know if the name means anything in particular, if that's what you're asking. Capernaum was only a city. It rejected Jesus Christ in spite of the miracles that he did there. It has become a proverb because Jesus said if he had done in Sodom the miracles that he had done in Capernaum, they would have repented and remained to his day.
