Usually, I just cook meat and veggies or pasta because they're decently cheap and easy to make. But I want to start making some GOOD and healthy meals. My meals right now are just very bland. I've searched up recipes but they always call for a couple of ingredients that I have to get but I only need a little bit of it and end up wasting the rest.
So, if any of you have any ideas that would be great!

YOu are eating healthy, as long as half of your meal is veggies (not including potatoes or corn, since they are mostly starch). And as long as any pasta you use is whole wheat pasta.
As for bland, this is about flavor.
For instance, if you are making a stir fry, use sesame oil, soy sauce, fresh ginger root, and fresh garlic. If you are baking a chicken breast, use fresh lemon and rosemary. Etc.
One week will be quite expensive in the grocery store-but that will be the week you stock up on spices, like oregano, thyme, pepper, cayenne, basil, etc. But they will last a LONG time and make anything you do cook taste so much better. Aside just telling you to do recipe search online, I would suggest to you CHILI. There is no real recipe for it, nearly anything goes. You can make it hot or mild, it will last for days, use any kind of beans(kidney beans work best), use or leave out meat, and it is cheap.
Thjis recipe is very easy, makes a lot and can be froze. It also can be customized and doubled.
* What I make is a single batch for me, and it makes enough for three meals; one to eat that night and two to freeze. You can adjust the amounts of individul ingredients to suit your needs.I have no real amounts for most things as I just basically put what looks right. But the recipe is very easy and once you have made it you will see what I mean.Sweet and Sour Chicken. You will need: 1 boneless skinless chicken breast (sub equal amount of firm tofu if you prefer plant based protein) a very small amount of oil or butter for frying 1 small finely minced onion, or dried onion flakes (if you use dried onion flakes add them with the veggies, not with the chicken) minced garlic or garlic powder (optional) salt/pepper optional spices you like (I like chives and chili flakes) frozen mixed veggies of your choice canned mixed veggies of your choice * I typically use a bag of california mix with a can of mushrooms and a can of baby corn. Totally customizable. If you want to add fresh, adjust the cooking time. I used frozen and canned as they cook quicker. water for steaming 1 bottle of your favorite sweet and sour sauce, or sweet chili sauce if you like that (standard size bottle, 11 oz or so)
Method: Cut chicken into 1/2 cubes Finely mince a small onion Add both items to a large sized skillet along with enough butter/oil to gently fry until the chicken pieces are white in the middle. Add salt/pepper and what ever other seasonings you want now. Remove from the pan and set aside. Add your veggies and enough water to cover about half way, add a lid slighty ajar and steam until veggies are tender. Return the chicken to the pan and add the bottle of sauce. Simmer on low until everything is heated through. Serve with your side of choice. Mine is rice.
