Nursing or journalism?

I have always been interested in the medical field. I also like journalism because I would want to go to different areas and like stories.

Which one should I major in? And what type of science would be good to get into nursing if I don't get into nursing?

Nursing by far. Journalism has lost it's independence. If you find a truth and tell it, but it's not popular, your black-balled. Especially in the current events and politics arena.

Nursing is tough and the rewards are priceless. My son took earned a degree in Biology and entered an advanced nursing  degree in a shorter time than my daughter.

Based upon post graduate career opportunities, I'd favor nursing. There is a great need, and well paid employment available anywhere, with a variety of specializations available. As for journalism, while a very noble and interesting choice, its on the way out. Newspapers are closing down. Other venues are also in trouble. Much riskier.  As for what major before your specialization, if you are an enrolled student, you can get best advice from the student counseling office where you go to school. They can make aptitude and interest tests available, counsel you, compare your interests to various fields, and tell you the kinds of things I spoke of, here. And usually, its all free. Good luck,
