  The animal is dead. I didn’t kill it... was found under a patio slab.

  It looks suspiciously like a rat to me... 

  but I’m not sure.

• How can I get guinea pigs with parents who are split up ?

  Hi everyone, I’ve been wanting guinea pigs for nearly 2 years, I’ve done research and know how expensive they can be due to vet bills and how delicate piggies can be!! I’m 16 and though I don’t have a job just yet I’m actively looking for one, preferably in the veterinary field as I’m hoping to become a vet nurse in the near future. I have enough savings to pay for toys, treats, fleece, veggies etc but not vet fees just yet and I wouldn’t want to make my parents pay for the vet fees even though they can afford them. I’ve thought about becoming a foster for a local rescue so I can look after many guinea pigs and not have to worry about vet bills yet still be able to spoil many pigs as they deserve. My mom signed a contract saying no pets however (and doesn’t want any) and my dad isn’t too keen on getting pigs because he works full time and as the arrangement is that I live at my dad’s 50% of the time and mom’s 50% of the time I don’t know how to make it work. I know “if there’s a will there’s a way” and I am so determined to make it work. I just don’t know how. Any help is so appreciated, thanks.

• Is it safe to smoke weed in a room with a hamster nearby?

  Ik kinda dumb question but my hamster lives in a glass tank, it’s not close to where I’d normally smoke and what if I had a window open? I don’t wanna get her high or anything which is why I’m asking first, I love my hammy. N just so people know, I smoke medicinally, If I covered her tank and opened a window would it still get her high? (I’ve been smoking in my back hall lately and so people know, I’m NOT trying to get her high I’m trying to avoid that, thank u!)

• What’s with my hamster?

  I have had my Syrian for a year now I have been giving his toys food and treats and bedding all the same and I have a large bin cage for him and recently he started escaping. He has escape about 3 times now. This most recent time he was gone for about two days and I recently found him back in his cage saw how we was getting out and fixed it. How can I fix this behavior and make him more comfortable in his home? Also is this a normal thing?

  Hey I bred my rats all of her siblings all obviously have normal ears but she has ears to the side is she dumbo?

  Mom and dad are also standard fancy rats and they are from a local pet store, they were sold for feeders so I don't know what the chances are she is a dumbo, probably really low??...

  She's so cute...

• Rat confusion?

  So I have my 4 rats that I'm keeping (mom, son,son,daughter).  I think the moms in Heat?? All her children are ummmm doing that -- to her including the girl. They are 3 months old . I don't think they reach sexual maturity till 5-6 months I'm just horrified. I sepreted the boys for the night I think its time to move the mom back in with her friends... suggestions?? 

  I know it's normal and sometimes a dominance thing but I think it's weird, is it okay to seprete the mom from the kids at 3 months???

  As I'm writing this they finally calmed down and went to sleep ...

  Also the adult  boys are running back and forth In there cage sooo.... help..
