What do you think of my idea to use one desktop for life.?

I want Internet service providers (Yahoo, Google, etc.) to provide a complete desktop with "virtual" file storage.

I describe my idea in more detail here:

Give a thumbs up or down here with an explanation. If you want to engage in a discussion about it, post a comment on my blog.

The only thing I've got against it is that so far it isn't realistic. Mostly I have trouble with having to download one application from a website. There is no way that you can provide something that has something so personalized without a high cost. That being said, your going to have a cable connection because otherwise its going to take forever. Mainly, you've got some good ideas there, but I'd likely be too expensive for the general public and there are some limitations. One thumbs down for realistic reasoning, and one thumbs up for "someday" at the best.

The idea seems awesome but very idealistic. It would probably be a very expensive service. I gue they could charge by the Gig.
