Cell phone internet connect to a computer- how long before there's a wireless card with satellite capability?
PCMCIA speeds up to over 400mbps-- I was even wondering about connecting a 2x graphics card.. when will I be able to high-speed internet around in my car without parking in front of a coffee shop or stowing a satellite in my trunk?

Cell phone providers sell PCMCIA cards that connect you at near broadband quality speeds at reasonable prices these days. 80$/month or so for unlimited montly bandwidth. Check verizon.

I feel that the internet will very soon be at least as seamless as our largest wireless networks. I believe, instead of using cellular connectivity, that other providers will create networks of encrypted hotspots that subscribers can simply log onto wherever they may be. Now, how long something like this will take to roll out is hard to say, but I believe it to be a realistic possibility.
