The brake pedal and gas pedal are so close in my 01 Explorer that I sometimes hit the gas when I brake?Ideas?
I have to wear a brace and bulky shoe which causes the problem. I do not want to use hand controls. Are there any kits to move the brake pedal approximately 3 inches to the left of the current location as this would solve my problem.

If your Explorer is out of Warranty, I would go to your Local Weld/Fabrication Shop and Tell them what you would like to have.
If it is in Warranty or You feel more comfortable and Cost is not a Factor, Go to your Ford Dealer.
I am sure that they would have to work within the Americans With Disabilities Act to provide you with alternatives.
