    This is my opinion;

    I believe in this opinion, and understand that i can not make a choice as to what is "right" for someone else...nor would i want to.

    Babies do not have to be carried full term to be viable outside of the womb, Or take their "first breath",they have in so many cases been born far before, and survived, im sure actual statistics on the earliest specific gestaional age would prob. be found via internet, or your ob. Though medical intervention is usually necessary to aid in breathing and development in pematurity. Wouldnt you do this for any child or adult requiring acute care? I look at it like this, by the time the fetus is able to be aborted, which i believe it is around 2 months? It already looks just like a mini baby, it has already recieved its own genetic coding, and it will grow to become an individual that will never have the chance to be created again, no other fetus will ever have the same dna, which would result in a completetly unique, and individual human being, skin hair eyes, features, fingerprints, personality, and possible gifts to the world.

    So i guess I am prochoice because i would not judge or think i could choose for someone else, i only know what i feel in my own heart, that individual life begins at the moment of conception. Life is not always fair and easy, but I do believe that with God all things are possible, not some things, ALL things. ...again, just my opinion, hope this helps.

    I'm pro-choice. I believe abortion should be safe, legal and rare. I don't have a particularly well-thought out opinion on "when life begins" because I'm not particularly bothered by the "abortion = murder" equation. That is, I'm willing to accept, arguendo, that I support the killing of unborn babies, or to be precise that I support the right of women to kill their unborn babies, if they choose.

    Not that it's relevant to the moral argument, but "when life begins" is a way of framing the question by those who wouldn't allow women that right.

    If I wanted to draw a moral line (rather than, say, a legal one), I'd probably start my analysis with viability. That is, if the specific question is, "when is an abortion immoral", the best answer I could give at the moment is, "if the fetus is viable".

    It matters a great deal how you frame the issue and what question you ask. The question I would ask is, how should we reduce the number of abortions? How should we make abortion safe, legal and rare?

    In case we're naming names, I'm an atheist and a draft-resister, with two daughters and a son.

    I am prochoice. To be honest, I am not sure when I would say life begins, only that I believe that women have the right to an abortion (up to the three month rule), if they so chose. There are many instances where women need one because being pregnant could endanger their life, or cases where they were assaulted, and pregnant through that horrible crime. In either case, why should that woman have to go through with the pregnancy? It is an important right women have, and although I would not have one myself, I actively defend it.

    I am pro-choice. I believe that life begins with the first breath you take. I see a fetus for what it is - a possible life, an extention of the life of the mother, but not a life itself. An unborn baby is not alive because it is dependent on the mother for all funtions of life.
