Why do Republicans hate illegal immigrants?

Why do Republicans hate immigrants so much?

Immigrants come to this country and are forced to take lower paying jobs.

If I was a rich Republican fat cat with a degree from Yale, I would never fear that an immigrant could ever steal my job. I would want more immigrants to provide cheap labor for my company. Honestly, what is the harm is a poor immigrant wants to come to America?

First of all you need to define your terms. in your question you stated "hate" and "illegal". In your support, you stated "immigrants". There is a VERY large difference.

Basically that illegals are here ILLEGALLY!

It appears that your statements are based on a vile dislike of the word "Republican". Illegals do not steal the jobs of fat cat Republicans, they steal them from the high school kid next door trying to save for college or buy his first car. they steal from the public because they demand serviuces and goods but are not taxed to support those goods and services. In essence, they arent pulling their own weight. Are you stating that you approve of freeloaders?

As an aside, did you know that if you added up the number of people who you consider fat cats, did you know that 3 of every 4 fat cats are liberal democrats, as stated by the federal General Accounting Office? I use the word "rich" here, and i define it as anyone making over half a million dollars a year.

So i recommend that you define your terms and your position before you go firing volleys based on hate, and make sure your arguments are complete and accurate.

    Republicans Illegal Immigration

  • 2 decades ago

    First -- it's the illegal thing that's a problem

Second -- nobody is forcing them to do anything. They're coming here very willingly to do this work - they know what they're going to be doing.

Third -- the problem isn't stealing jobs that nobody else will do for the amount that they're paid. The problem is the theft of tax-payer services like education and health care that's the real problem. It's not the government that ends up paying for that stuff, it's insurance companies and individuals. So the politicians are reflecting the desires of the people.

Fourth -- the harm is that they do not pay taxes. If they'd register as workers, they're welcome to stay.

Well maybe because the republicans have worked their butts off in getting a degree from uale so they of course deserve the higher paying job. Why should someone who wasnt born here, nor struggled thru college to gain a degree, nor ever contributed to this country deserve a high paying job? Immigrants get more granted to them then working american white middle to lower class...so who is really the ones being hated on?

The only reason Democrats support "amnesty" for 12 million illegals is because it means more votes for them at the next election. The Blacks and Hispanics would never vote for Republicans because they are for limited government, which means less social services such as free education and free healthcare, and other welfare benefits. Also Obongo favours those that have illegally entered the United States over American citizens who don't have jobs. It's just another part of his anti-white agenda. He should be impeached.

The problem is not so much the jobs as the strain that they put on our other services, such as healthcare. Plus, you have to remember that no one is against immigrants coming into this country, so long as they have the proper documentation.

I can understand people wanting to come to America - shoot most of us have ancestors from other countries to thank for us being here today - but when folks come here & then have to be supported by the government from healthcare to education, etc. without these folks putting in their fair share of taxes, well, does this seem fair to everyone else?

The real problem is that it is so hard these days to gain the proper documentation to live in this country & even attempt to become an American citizen so people are doing it illegally, just to be here. I have a friend who came here in her late teens, living with family already in the country & gaining entry through a student visa. Everything was just fine until she started trying to get her mother & siblings over here. The girl is now married with three kids but has still been unable to get her mother over here. Personally, I think it is sickening that it takes so long & that there are so many roadblocks for people who just want to be contributing citizens.

Another problem with the whole issue is the number of people in this country today. Back in the day, it wasn't a big deal to allow people into this country because we seemed to have all of the room in the world to expand, more than enough jobs, etc. Many people who are against open immigration today claim that we don't have enough jobs to properly support even our own working poor, much less everyone else who wants to enter this country. The same people will also comment on healthcare & education as factors, just as I did above.

All in all, the whole issue of immigration itself - even taking out the problems surrounding illegal immigrants - is so ripe with problems that I wonder if we will ever get is solved. Personally, I'm just hoping that my friend gets her mother over here before her mother dies.

Republican don't hate anyone. But we do expect the rule of law be obeyed. Now, if they are here legally I have no problem with anyone who wants a better future for themselves and there families.

Granted it isn't just illegal immigrants breaking the law and those who are should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The mere fact that the President has introduced the idea of guest worker ID's blows your thesis of Republicans hate illegals out of the water.

i do no longer understand each person that hires unlawful immigrants and that i stay in a community that's likely 40% unlawful immigrants from Mexico. heavily, move to the welfare places of paintings in San Rafael (Marin County, CA) and be conscious what is going on for an afternoon and tell me that we do no longer have an unlawful immigration problem. Then move added down the state and do an similar element. It receives worse the added south you move. You "human beings" do not understand what you're speaking about.

I think that everyone else on here pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. We have no problem with immigrants. But I personally do not want to pay taxes for healthcare, welfare, etc. for people that are here illegally. In my city there is a HUGE problem with illegal immigrants driving. they drive on the wrong side of the road, they hit and kill people, and then they run because they don't have drivers licenses or insurance. Not only is this not healthy or safe for our community but it also raises the rates of insurance and such.

Illegal immigrants cost everyone. But if you come here legally and do your part in the community, welcome.

We have no problem whatsoever with legal immigrants. But republicans believe in equality and they are criminals so they should be treated like criminals
