wht language so important to us?

communicating is the best way to live your life. You share feelings, emotions, and basically your whole heart.

If nobody shared communication it would be a "deaf" world out there. People who are deaf cant share all of there feelings with everybody.

Just imagine if nobody could understand you. You would feel like you were talking to a boxed in room with nothing in there, all you would hear to communicate back to you is your echo. So every body should be happy with there voice and language.

The development and mastery of language that can be shared, understood, and reciprocated by others is vital to the creation, implentation, improvement, and proliferation of important ideas and ideals. I am the father of four children, two of whom are only one year old. They came into the world with no language skills, but with an innate ability to learn our language(s) in a brief time. This ability, as it turns out, is key to their survival. When I tell my daughter, who crawls at times faster than I walk, not to touch something because it's hot, it's important that I be understood (since I may not always be able to physically intervene in time to protect her). At her level, she doesn't really understand "hot," but she does get that Daddy disapproves. She stops her activity and, thankfully, lives another day to learn more sophisticated language skills. It's really quite a marvelous system.

Consider how much humans accomplish by building off of the ideas of others. Without language, technology and art would only progress as far as a single human could. All the best ideas couldn't even be expressed without language (and without writing), so many of them would live and die with their creator. Without language, I believe we would still be living in caves.

Language has several functions...

- Language gives differentiation between cultures... You and me are different in term of language.. Your mother tongue is English and my mother tongue is Malay.

- According to Sapphir-Whorff hypothesis, language shapes a culture. In some words or symbols, it has same meaning but different interpretation. For instance, black means bad and evil in some cultures and it can mean braveness in some cultures.

- Langauge makes us develop. Without language, it is impossible for us to have development...

- Language beautifies friendship, family ties and any other relationship. Sometimes we have special language for our friends. Sometimes we have special nicknames for our family members...
