    If you are a self-sufficient recluse, you don't need a language.

    Language is a form of communication. If you can't hear, you can communicate using sign language, but it is still a language.

    No language=no comunication

    It is good to learn new languages because you respect others' cultures more. I took 3 other languages in high school, and I majored in a foreign language in college. I have developed an appreciation for other languages. I learned things about English that I didn't know before. When I watch movies in another language I can understand what they are saying and impress my friends. And it makes you smarter. So, yeah, it's important!

    Yes, language is a very important tool that people use to structure and manipulate the world around them. Every normal human being uses language in an extremely complex way.

    because that is how people communicate in their language they all can't have 1 language. then people wouldn't be UNIQUE!

    languages matter. its how we communicate to one another. its a part of our history, development our culture. I think they are a vital part of who we are.
