If Mars has been found to have had water?

Along with the possibility of Mars having signs of life, along with a heated asthenosphere much like ours at one point (Look at the SIZE of Olympus Mons! That's a VOLCANO three TIMES the size of Mt. Everest! Holy smokes, talk about a BIG eruption....) in the far past, do you think there could have been a civilization on Mars before humankind even thought to look to the stars?

There are polar caps on Mars that vary with the season. These are composed of ice, and dry ice (solid CO2). The Martian atmosphere is about 3% water vapor, which is the most water vapor that it can hold at its temperature and pressure, so it has a high relative humidity. We believe that Mars has permafrost under the surface. There appear to be runoff channels from water in some places on the Martian surface.

If there ever was a civilization on Mars, they did not leave much in the way of clues or ruins, or at least they have not been found yet, and I suspect they will not be.

So far scientifc investigations have not found any remains of a past civilization and so is for the presence at present.

Even if water have had been found it does not confirm existance of life, it remains a possibility.

The atomspehric temperature is slightly different on mars and so concept of life based on DNA and RNA, as in the case of earth, will be difficult to survive on Mars so possibilities of past-life on Mars are remote to the extent of zero.
