I have a kitten that grooms to the extreme. She has chewed her tail to the bone. Any ideas?

if its not bugs it could be a nervous condition I'v had alot of cats and none ever did this, take her to the vet asap ! She has to have help or she will get an infection also go to google and go to veternarians and check there, Good Luck !

That's not grooming, thats scratching...those are probably fleas..start using Advantage or Frontline for flea control...It also works for pets who are allegic to fleas as well. You can get at your vet's or some pet stores carry it too.

I work for a vet, they can give you some antibiotic for your cat, and check him.
