Why did God choose some and not others?

I know to trust Him He is all knowing. And I know that His ways are much higher. I just want your opinion and clear up a few things in my own head. I always wondered why He chose me and not someone else(I mean I'm glad He did), it seems like other people (who aren't Christian) could have served Him a lot better than I ever could. But of course how could I know that. This is question I always wondered.

Well, I see it like this: God's will was already established both the good and the bad. But we are floating around with a choice to become either Judas Iscariot or Peter. Both were choosen to be Apostles, both sinned against God, however, only one of them chose to repent with godly sorrow and not just because he got caught like Judas did. People always say, was Judas predestined to go to hell? No, I don't think so, I believe God's will is predestined not the people that will choose themselves what part they want to play. So, predestination for those who don't want to receive Jesus because they think it will just fall on them are wrong. Proof of what I just said can be found in Deut 28, where he set before us both blessings and cursings, see the plan is set, but what part of the plan you'll be in is entirely up to you, thus, your freedom to choose! God bless you girl!

I think God chooses all who seek him, and wish to be chosen! God chose Abraham, but it was because Abraham loved God so much and showed this through his faith.

I think it is more a question of which people choose God, than which people God chooses. God chooses everyone for something. Some have different callings. But he wants us to be willing to seek his calling for us. And there is where WE have to choose God.

You have clearly done that. You do not have to be perfect to serve God. Sometimes, it is our weaknesses that God can use to his purpose the very most. Look at Moses, and how he was so afraid to talk to the people, because he said he was slow of speech. Moses was wondering the same thing you are wondering! Why would God choose ME??? I can't speak eloquently?! But in fact, perhaps the very fact that Moses was no great public speaker would have been a sure sign to the people that his message was not his own, but rather was God's.

So keep your faith. God has chosen wisely. ;)

He didn't choose some people because they are more better. He CHOSE the overcomers. They do everything for God and ask him every time what to do. Like this overcomer: Watchman Nee. He did everything for God. One time, he even gave his money to this man, who needed to go on the train, but he needed that money. God had told him to give it to that man, a church person, because he needed it. Watchman did exactly as God said. But now he needed a ticket and he had no money or food. Then a miracle happened, this person had given a train ticket and food!!! This shows that we can trust God. Later, the man's wife that he had given the money to had came and said, "My son and I would starve, if it weren't for you giving us money. We had nothing to eat, and our rice and ran out. Then, later, my husband said he would go to take a walk. When he came back he had just enough money!!! for my son and I!"

First of all,God is not differentiating between some & others,it's because his/her's past life fetches those times.Still God has provided us a chance of a life. Which is abdunce of Nature's Gift, find out God within in it & U will forget sorrow.

I guess some souls are just more special to God than the rest. He must really love you much more than those He does not choose. It must feel so nice to be so special in your very special way.

Why did God choose some and not others? - He didn't "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosover believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have life everlasting".

He chose us all, we don't all choose Him.

God chose everybody but everybody has not chosen God. Those He FOREKNEW he called. That is, he called those he knew would choose him. It is not Gods fault He knows everything. But this does not negate your freewill. Election is summed up like this:God votes for you, Satan votes against you. Election is tied, how are you gonna vote?

He foreknew you in the beginning of time... he knew what you would be like with your freedom to choose.

Therefore he predestined you... to be conformed to the likeness of his Son. And then at the right time... he called to you... you accepted him... and he justified you... he is sanctifying you by his Spirit now... and you are waiting to be glorified.

God knew what everyone would be like.

    I think you're delusional.

In other religions and in other counties, you would have made the perfect human bomb!

Get over your convictions and just be good!

P.S. Hey jewe1, so much for free will, eh?
