Those that have succeeded in life goals or career's,did they lie and cheat to get there?

I think it varies a lot. People how have gotten ahead need a lot of ambition, talent (usually, cf. Paris Hilton), and, most importantly, luck.

Not everyone who is successful is a "tyrant." I've known company executives who are very reasonable, and others who lie and try to play favorites. A lot depends on the corporate culture. That is one of those wierd things which is also very important in whether or not you'll like the job.

For the heads of big corporations, though, there is obviously some level of ruthlessness, though not neccessarily "cheating."

And, if we're talking about some like Stalin, who was indeed "a real tyrant," then, yeah, they lied and cheated.

success is the quality of effort you give to reach a particular goal. not everyone in the world can have such little integrity as to lie and cheat to get where they are now. just look at Oprah. now that's a real success story.

i know the richest man alive. bill gates f***** over his partners to get there...
