There are times that we want to get away with everything and just spend time with ourselves. Actually I've tried travelling alone and I love it. You get to learn to boost up your self confidence because you have to ask other people for directions and help, plus you will really get to be independent and responsible with your actions. Most of the people say that it's not a good idea to travel alone. I think it's just the idea of being "alone" in which they fear for the things that might possibly happen. Of cours you have to be aware and have to put some precautions with your actions. Why not try it for once? You might like it. If it doesn't, well at least you'll never have to wonder and think of what ifs. Ü I say you go for it! Ü

A national park within 3 to 5 hours drive. It's pretty safe around those areas because there is tourists year round. When I was a younger guy I did that alone alot. Stay in a $30 a night motel right out of the park, and you'll be good for a couple days. Sightsee, rest, and relax. Just remember that some natn'l park restrooms are unlockable and are often co-ed so use the bathroom before you go sightsee, and this time of year bring water, blankets, and road equipment for possible hazards. You should be fine though, I know I always had a blast! Hiking, Fishing, Swimming, Campfires, Waterrafting, and a host of other things. Have Fun.

Sometimes alone is the ONLY way to travel, as long as you try and stay in public places, take tours, etc. and don't go anywhere where you cannot speak the language fluently. For short money, the South East is a great time, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia. It gets expensive again in Florida. Natural landmarks make great cheap trips. The Grand Canyon is a trip, or Niagara Falls. Not knowing where you are, it's tough for me to help you out, but my aunt owns a travel agency. If you want, you can E-Mail me and I might be able to hook you up.
Good Luck.

Unless you have a lot of experience with crisis- or interpersonal conflict management (i.e. if you've got a lot of experience dealing with people) it's not very wise for a female to travel alone.
But if you do, never ever let on that you're alone and never EVER act like a victim. Be on top of every situation and stay on top.
