Whats more important, accumulating wealth or accumulating understanding?

Question

I was just reading a pschotherapy magazine, which made this point.  And I thought, yea wealth can be stolen or lost and offen causes fights but understanding brings security, peace and can not be taken from you.
I think Yahoo Answers could be a great driver towards an increase of social undersanting

Agreed. Knowledge cannot be lost or stolen and is certainly more important than money.

If you view understanding to be your duty, then understanding is more important than wealth. If you see being wealthy as your duty, then wealth is more important than understanding.

Accumulation is baggage whether its tangible or not.  We don't really need anything except what we are born with, because we're all really just here to goof around.

I wouldn't call it understanding as much as I would call it personal enrichment?  Through enrichment we learn better ways to be happy, and we learn strength to stay happy.
