I being a christian, believe God created the universe in 6 days. Then added the 7th day because He knew man would need at least 1 day to rest. By sanctifying the 7th day man could rest from his work. God does not need to rest. God does not get tired.

Muslims believe that God has created the world in 7 days but there isn't anything about the rest day, I personally think God must be Perfect so he does't need any rest but maybe divine rest is something different from Human rest.

The Muslims do not believe that God needs rest, but we do believe He created the heavens and the earth in six days.

Heavens no. The vast majority of mainline and liberal christians and jews believe in science and know that the creation myth is a myth.

No, not everyone believes this. There is too much diversity to have total belief. It would be similar to asking 2 billion people what color is the sky and you're going to get more that one answer.

It is written and so it is so.
