We seem to forget that our nation was attacked and is at war with terrorists.
Many things went wrong subsequent to the attack on 911. The stock market dropped, the business environment went bad with layoffs. Many people feared another attack, which may yet occur.
Although anyone can sincerely disagree with things that the Bush administration is doing and has done, they must agree that his is the responsibility (Constitutionally delegated) to defend the nation. The Congress agreed with his actions post 911. Now that time has passed, and we have not been attacked again in the homeland, some of those same Congressional members are forgetting what they did and are blaming the President for all sorts of things. Their actions certainly take on the color of political spin.
Many people take this Congressional mewling to heart and that is understandable, people are concerned. However, taking the bumper sticker statements of some Congressional members and a few malcontents who apparently have political agendas not supportive of the country, does no one any good. Instead, take those issues you don’t like and do your own research.
I am one who is concerned with the Patriot Act, but that concerned is tempered with an understanding of the historical reality of such occurring in the past, multiple times. You can start with President Washington’s attack on farmers in the Northeast during the Whisky Rebellion; or the Alien and Sedition Act during President John Adams’ administration; or the extra-Constitutional acts of President Lincoln.
This is not new.

I might not always agree with President Bush on a huge assortment of issues but your statement goes much too far.
President Bush should be congratulated on his efforts in the war on terror and his neverending vigilance to safeguard America.
Do you or anyone out there honestly think that you could have done a better job if you were in his position?
Also, think of the precarious position that his family is in everyday as a potential target for terrorists. Believe me, you don't have the worries that he does nor would you want them.
Let's just be proud of our hero president.

I think that history will show Osama and Bush to be opposite sides of the same evil. They are both blind to the truth of the world
