What PC game should I buy?

Dragonshard is a fantastic strategy game. It marries RTS to RPG seamlessly and has some very neat features. For instance, you build your army by creating captains, who then generate soldiers (who are free and serve basically as meat shields).

Half Life 2 is definitely the best FPS, and the graphics (especially on Lost Coast!) will make you appreciate your new box.

If you don't mind waiting a bit Battle for Middle Earth II comes out Feb. 28. BFME I was a Lord of the Rings themed RTS featuring the ability to build large amounts of units at once. I understand the sequel will be even better and feature customizable captains.

1. Call of Duty 2

COD 1 was great and you'll get addicted very early. If you played that then this is also a great war game.

2. Half Life 2

If you haven't played this game then it is a must. Great physics and graphics. Very good story line (continues the story of Half Life). A very good Sci-Fi first person shooter.

1. Age of Empires III

Though not as good as AOE II, but it is compensated by great graphics and finer details.
