Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

How many Qs have you answered - later got removed? & would you keep answering such questions or keep away?

so what's the opinion here:

A) keep away from these questions - citing that its a futile exercise and reduces point conversions...

OR B) type in something - hoping that it would be read by the questioner...at least prevent him/her from repeating such queries...

or C)? a better reason (from you)...

My personal answer is 33 and B

Update:

Yes, good point Jane

skip the first part of the question and

let me what you think about A, B or C

I choose C. I'll answer any question I feel I can answer. Questions get removed not only because the question itself might be a violation of Yahoo's policies, but also because any response might be a violation. I'm not going to stop answering questions just because someone else might post an inappropriate response. Who cares if it gets removed? It doesn't cut into my points.

My ratio in this regard is very low, but I've tended to steer towards more technical questions rather than those that ask for opinions. When I just started using Y! Answers, the ratio was higher because I would answer questions that didn't really contribute anything to the Answers community. I'll still answer a question that looks iffy to me every once in a while if I have something I really want to contribute.

Source(s): If you expect me to go through all of my answers to find deleted questions, you're crazy.
