Buddhist offerings?
Namaste everyone,
I've noticed something very strange lately.
To begin with, I have always been a very heavy eater, I would literally have to eat 4-5 meals a day, or I would be to hungry to concentrate on anything.
A few weeks ago, I began to offer part of every meal I ate to hungry ghosts, hell beings and the like so they would suffer less.
In the past week, I have continued this practice, but now, I only need one meal a day to sustain myself.

As I know it,the hungry ghosts can't eat,are not able to recieve your offering. There are other ways to make offerings to the hungry ghosts: put on your altar or in one corner of your room very clear water as an offering to them.If you want to make food offerings, you can offer the food to the Buddhas and Boddhisatvas, also to Yidams ,dakas ,dakinis and to the local spirits. You can make other types of offerings like pleasant feelings, joy, and happiness to all sentient beings.
