what's up with the new superboy?

the new Superboy is kinda going through a lot right now...he just found out that he was genetically cloned from Lex Luthor and Superman, so he's been in constant turmoil over whether he deserves the title of Superboy (considering part of him comes from one of Supes' greatest villians). at first the costume seemed just a stab at something cool, but now it seems to stem from the characters' hesitance to actually take up the name of Superboy...

if you've been reading the current run of Teen Titans a lot of this is explained, and it pretty much came to a head when Conner (the new Superboy) was confronted by Superboy Prime in Infinite Crisis #4...check it out!

he's hardly new anymore

he went through a lot of costumes. Personally, I like his current one the best.

The reason he donned the new outfit was because of Tana Moon's death. Agenda's Amanda Spence murdered her to fulfill her own personal vendeta against Superboy. It's only after that that Donna died and he found out that part of his genetics came from Lex Luthor.
