When u get an eyelash in ur eye and then it goes behind what happens to it? do they build up behind ur eye?

I really want to know what happens to the eyelashes. Can it effect your eye site? Could that be what makes eyes get bad? How do you get rid of them? do they go out ur nose or something? i know this seems wierd but i really want to know!i hope someone tells me so that i don't have to ask the eye docter when i go in a couple weeks.

Nothing can actually get behind your eye. Many people don't know that there is a lot of connective tissue that anchors the eye to the eye socket and that you can't get anything past that tissue. The eyelash will eventually wash out (if it doesn't, you will most likely still be able to feel it in your eye).

    Eyelash Lost In Eye

No, eyelashes don't stay behind your eyeball, the won't build up.

An eyelash WILL wash out eventually. Really. If one is trapped under your upper lid, then just use some saline solution (comes in a big squirt bottle at the drug store), tilt your head, open your eye and drop or squirt it in there. If you have one caught under your lower lid you can do the same thing. (Or I will sometimes soak a Q-tip in the saline and then use it to dislodge the eyelash. But, of course, I would only do that with a saline soaked Q-tip never just a dry one, or one soaked with plain water, and I'm VERY CAREFUL). FYI, Saline is ph-balanced to match that of the eye.

BTW, I've had a contact roll to the back of my eye and get temporary lodged. I didn't know, I thought I'd dropped and lost it, so I started crying (the kind I was wearing was really expensive). After I'd been crying for about a minute, the contact rolled down over my eyeball, I saw it and removed it....and I stopped crying. :)

So like when ur eye just goes with eyelash in the back of eye saline solution aka eye ocular fluid goes to help wash it out thats why no one ever has extra eyelash behind eye but then some people say they feel it but thats nonsense because it doesn't make science sense.

I dropped a pencil in my eye one time and it just washed right out with a toothbrush.
