I love mine, you can cook nearly anything in it. If you are baking outside with the coals on top, though, that does take a bit of practice. Indoors of course it's really simple.

    Try this recipe indoors:

    1 whole chicken

    salt

    pepper

a bit of oil or cooking spray

Roast the chicken, when it's beautiful & golden, add:

    Tomatoes cut into wedges

    Bell peppers cut into chunks

    Onion cut into chunks

Can of pitted black olives (drained)

    chunks of smoked ham

Put the lid on and roast till the veggies are tender. This is absolutely delicious, I like it with a bit of rice. It's a Spanish recipe, I'm told - but really, I like it because the chicken comes up perfectly done in the dutch oven, the heat conducts very evenly. Happy cooking!

They are pretty easy to master, their are some things you should know, like how to season, and keep a season on cast Iron.
