Why do we care how many points we get?

No offense, Yahoo! It seem to be working...I'm just wondering why we get so hooked on a point system. sheez!

    It gives me a false sense of accomplishment. :)

    But really what keeps me hooked is the thank yous that accompany a choice as best answer. It makes me feel smart and helpful.

    Well, allegedly we are supposed to get "rewards" based on our levels. To advance to the next level, you must accumulate a certain amount of points. However, I haven't seen anything yet, so I wouldn't hold my breath. I continue to participate because I like to help people out.

    Everyone is trying to be the best at everything. So we get hooked to getting the most points.

    becouse the more points you have the highier level your in so the higher level your in the more questions you could ask

    we are competitive by nature and develop the gambling try-try again addiction
