How to weld your own lampshade frame?
I like to make my own lampshade cover from scratch using simple tools.

a normal propane torch wont get hot enough to weld it together,and its called jb weld and i wont work, i use it all the time for different things,so i know it wont do it...
for the right equipment to weld it would be very expensive,cheaper to buy a new shade, there is also companies out there that will weld it for you

There is stuff called JBL Weld that you can get to join metals together. If you're making the shade from copper, you can solder them together with a hand-held propane cylinder blowtorch, just like plumbers use.

I would recommend a small gas rig. Then just braze it together. If this is just for one lamp, I would buy a lamp shade at a flea market and recover. Cost for the rig to weld cost a few $$. I might also suggest a class down at the local Adult education center.
