Well the Oscars have a political undertone and if you're going to have someone to host it why not someone with comic political savvy? Jon Stewarts fine by me.

I hope so but I just won't know until I seem him do it. Billy Crystal is my preference but Whoopi was okay. Chris Rock and David Letterman SUCKED. I think it would be funny if they got Larry the Cable Guy or someone with an edge like Eddie Izzard or Ron White or Kathy Griffin to do it.

He's funny, intelligent and represent the prevailing political views of the Hollywood community. I imagine they will take a few digs at the Bush administration during the show. I'll certainly watch :-)

Yes! John Stewart is hilarious and I think he will do an excellent job. My prediction is that it will be considered a huge success and they'll probably ask him back again next year.

Not really the best choice. I would have chosen Carlos Mencia(mind of mencia on comedy central) Now that would have been a heck of a show. EVERYBODY would have known his opinion!!
