The Resurrection occurred B4 the women got to the tomb; God doesn't tell us WHEN it occurred, did He?
"The first day of the week" started after sunset on Saturday!
The Messianic prophesies were fulfilled PERFECTLY, on God's Divine Timetable - the original Passover was a perfect pre-shadow of the Lamb of God sacrifice. Based on God-in-Control, how does anyone dare assume that the Resurrection was on the pagan "venerable day of the sun god," Sunday?! God has never tolerated paganism mixed in to His worship. How does anyone (besides Constantine & the Popes & ~the Reformers~) dare to make Sunday a holy day? God has told His people what days are Holy to Him; how does anyone dare usurp God's Law make an assumption into a holiday?

It seems to me that Yeshua was probably resurrected at the beginning of the first day of the week on the Hebrew calendar, which would be Saturday evening on the Greco-Roman calendar. He was probably crucified on Wednesday. Of course, none of that changes the Sabbath. God instituted the Sabbath on the seventh day, and no man has authority to change it.
The tradition of observing Sunday as the Sabbath predates Constantine by centuries, but is no more valid for that. It primarily came from anti-Jewish prejudice, pagan tradition, ignorance of the Hebrew calendar, and ignorance of the messianic prophecies.

Constantine played no role in the Sunday choice. The first century Didache, showing Christians of the Apostolic age already observed the Lord's Day, was written centuries before Constantine's grandfather was born!
By the way, for all your fulmination about "Popes"... you do actually realize that Catholic Sundays begin Saturday evening at sundown... in fact quite exactly as you describe?
That's why the Great Easter vigil of both the Orthodox and Catholics is always Saturday night, and why all Catholic churches have a Saturday afternoon service that fulfills Sunday obligations.
And no, Savaya - despite your reassertion about Constantine, I say again he had no role in that, and history clearly supports me. He would not be born for centuries after the first documented evidence of Sunday worship.
And unless you were born sometime before, oh, say the Prophet Mohammed 1400 years ago, no, you do not remember a time before the Saturday Easter vigil mass (though in ordinary time, it did become more common with Vatican II, some forty five years ago, before you likely were born.)

It was prophesied that the holy days and times would be changed. Constatine did do that. Catholic church did not start holding masses on Saturday until 25 years or so ago, by the way, I know I use to be catholic.
Jesus was raised after sunset on Saturday, which would have been the first day of the week, it also says the women went to the tomb of Jesus while it was still yet dark.
Isn't it sad how satan has blinded Gods people to the truth?

When we use religion to bring general answers we are so often off the mark...
Scriptures are there to inspire us and certainly not to give us a sense of false security by providing Answers to someone's personal outlook.
Don't forget, the Muslims interpret some of the scriptures to announce that their prohet was announced... the same quotes the Christians use to confirm that JC was announced...
Those are the type of small truths (answers) that creates and generates conflicts.... rather than understanding onself...

You know what happens when you assume something?
It makes an "äss" out of "u" and "me". I'd like to know how the math worked out that puts the crucifixion on a friday???
