have tried lavasoft, spybot search and destroy, microsoft spy remover, and spysweeper, none work

You need to choose a default home page. About:Blank means you have not chosen any other; the home page is a blank.

about:blank simply tells your internet browser to display a blank page. If it's starting up with that, you can change your home page settings by going to Tools > Internet Options. It's not viruses/spyware/malware that is causing the problem.

Just set a home page. If you have a favorite page then open it and just click on the little house in your toobar, is placed next to the refresh buttom and then you will get it set as your home page.

Try Hijackthis V1.99 or newer.
