Electric shaver versus conventional Razor?
I have been shaving for about ten years now. I always used to use a gilette.
Am now deciding whetehr to splurge on a top end Braun elctric jobby ....
have been told not to try the cheap junky elctric ones as they are rubbish ...
so its ok to mix and match with the two ... hairs wont get confused and cause a weird break-out or something .....
Isnt electric also messier .. the hair just falls to the ground ?

Don't go cheap, you'll regret it and wind up buying good one later anyway. I prefer the rotary blade shavers as opposed to the foil shavers...they seem to work better on my coarse whiskers. You won't get as close a shave with the electric but they certainly save time. I use my Norellco on a daily basis and then break out the blade when I want an especially close shave.
Of course, nothting beats going to your barber for a "store bought" shave.

Depends on your beard. Thick whiskers have to be shaved away with blades, electrics simply won't do, even the high-priced Braun, which is better than most electrics, but nothing is as good as a blade. If your beard is thinner/lighter, then maybe go for the Braun.

I shave most of my face with an electric. Then I hit a couple spots with a blade.

You can try the electric shaver, but your shave may not be as close as with your trusty Gillette. If all else fails, keep the recipt and take it back if you don't like it.
