What does people around the world think of Filipinos?

What strikes me about Philippines is that women continue to be in power politically. Those ladies, like the current president, look so harmless and innocent, yet I am sure they are tough. How do they do it (get control of all these men in the political arena?). I mean they are in charge of the military and recently put down the coup attempt. I don't think there is another country with such empowerment of women. I wonder if you agree...

I know that the people of the Philippines suffered under a Marcos dictatorship over 20 years ago. I know that Marcos was ousted by the Filipinos and that they have not thrived as a country today the way they would have hoped. I have met a number of Filipinos in this country and from them I tend to see the group as a whole as being very kind and gracious. Although, the Filipino lady that has a tailor business by my house charges way too much. :)

The Philippines aren't from now on very well familiar in Europe. the country has a popularity of being undesirable, corrupted and unsafe. Few people recognize how suitable the country is certainly and how effective the people residing there are. i'm confident their is a plausible to charm to extra ecu travelers to the seashores and diving inns. i wish the business challenge of the country will advance.

That they gamble a lot. I had a philippino boss and he used to tell everyone that philipinos love to gamble. I am married to a 1/2 mexican 1/2 philipino man, his mom is from the Philippines and she does gamble a lot but I don't think the majority of them do.

They are beautiful, gracious, fiercely loyal and sociable people. I am amazed at the way all of them seem to be able to sing and know all the words to every song I grew up with! They are talented, and many are exquisitely well-educated. They seem to move with ease from one language to another, and most apparently know several languages. There is nothing to say about them that is bad, in fact.

I know many Filipinos. The food's good.

I have had very little contact with them, and have never heard any bad reports about them, but I often hear tell of them being very good and devout Catholics. That is certainly a big positive.
