Definition of sin?

When you deeply inside of yourself KNOW you´re acting wrong. Simple isn´t it?

well sin is what jesus died on the cross for he died on the cross for our sins which is wrongdoing sin- is whatever bad thing you are doing god made ten commandments which are to tell you that if u break any of those commandments then you are sinning and also anything that isnt right for the lord..(stealing,cursing,false prayer(thats when u tell someone u will pray for them and then dont)murder, felonies) all the bad things so yeah sin is something you dont want to do sin is what dont let u into heaven when u die

Sin can be described as any act designed to thwart the will of God or to break your relationship with God or His People. Alternatively it can be described as "missing the mark." This can be both failing to go far enough (undershooting as in the rich man who left dejected) or going to far (overshooting as in Peter trying to stop the death of Jesus).

Sin means to do wrong, do something wrong. To break the law of God, an immortal act.

Anything against Gods word, the bible words to live by, anything else is NOT of God and a SIN

I second Isadora's answer. "Sin" (doing wrong) happens when I deliberately go against my conscience, my inner morals and ethics.

Sin is transgression against God will/God's Law.

(And it is an abhorrent abomination to God!)
