Do you believe that the male ego is more fragile than the woman's?

yes and no. Each is fragile in its own way. The female ego is fragile in the sense that we rely more on others' opinions and comments. Women more avidly seek praise and affection then men, and we are more prone to responding negatively if we don't receive that interaction. But most are very outwards with these reactions.
Men, however, are more inwardly fragile. Because society doesn't accept emotion or clinginess in males as much as females, men will hold these negative feelings inside when they don't receive enough attention/interaction. This results in more destructive behaviors... drinking, drugs, isolation, anger, fighting, ect.

Absolutely not. Take dating; men tend to be the askers, and really put themselves out there. They face rejection way more than chicks do. I don't see them all crying about the rejection. Most move on.

absolutely. In Ephesians 5:33 Paul tells his readers...
"..each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must RESPECT her husband." That alone shows that even in the first century A.D. men understood the need for respect; that is egocentric, but that's how God made us!
