Yep. I was hit by a hurricane and the house phone worked. The cell towers weren't restored for two weeks.

Yes..I have a cell phone is case of emergencys at least that is why I got it but I use it more then my home phone. My 16 year old stays on my home phone so it comes in handy also.

I got rid of the cell phone as daughter made it too expensive to keep. I have just a land line phone.

yep both but I use my cell more than my house phone all the way. My bill rakes up but I live in a household where everyone has a cell but my lil bro.

Yes, we have one house phone and 2 cell lines (one for me, one for my husband).

Nope, just a house phone. If I am not home they can leave me a message on the answering machine and I will call them back.

yes b/c i kept going over my minutes and most of my calls were local so we got a home phone so we can make local calls and i am not wasting my minutes that much anymore. so yea its alot easier than wasting ur minutes and paying so much for all the minutes you went over!

No; a house phone is plenty; I don't need to be reachable wherever I go.
