Chaos theory, although it can be used to try to explain some aspects of human behavior, is focused on the complexity of natures systems and the entropy principle of thermodynamics. Chaos theory implies a more subtle order beyon what we can discern as "order". Chaos theory implies increasing complexity of systems, so, the worlds history could be used as example, but, if you look at it, most of today world´s problems are the result of someone trying to crrect past problems. Ecosystems, for example show us that nature has its own wise way of regulating itself and once we intervene, we only get things more screwed up.

On the contrary, The "Butterfly Effect" is often used to explain the basis of Chaos Theory ( the "order" within "disorder")... If the world has "problems" (and this is subject to one's perception), I believe that "order" would have as much to do with them as "chaos" does...

What do chaos theory and the world's problems have to do with one another?

  • 2 decades ago

Chaos is the predominating world view for those who wish to escape responsibility for their own life and actions by refusing to consider the cause and effect relationships of events.

New stars are born every second somewhere in the universe.

I think it's the reason everything is as Beautyful as it is. True, the universe does trend to disorder (to our simple observations), but isn't Chaos theory about finding a higher order?

    No.

All the problems in the world are caused by George Bush and his band of cronies.

the natural order of the universe tends to disorder---> in other words, entropy. so I think it would only be natural that everything will eventually be in disorder. you know how people say that diamonds are forever, well that's not true, because they would turn into graphite after a very long time.

no. the problems of the world are caused by those living in the world, and their chioces (the butterfly effect and all that), nothing more or less.

    It could. But isn't. Probably.
