how do i clean suede couches?
my roomate was watching my son and he spilled milk on her suede couches. she tried to clean them with water and a little bit of uphulstery cleaner (which she did before i got home) and now the couch where she cleaned it is hard. how do we fix this.

Is it real suede or the imitation "ultra suede" material? The "ultra suede" stuff cleans up easily with a bit of Dawn dishwashing detergent on a rung out, wet dish towel. Do not soak the material. Just rub it through the area. Rinse in a similar fashion with clean water and a clean dish towel. DO NOT SATURATE THE ULTRA SUEDE. Damp dry it with a dry dish towel afterwards. I'm afraid I can't help you if it's real real suede.

purchase a bottle of suede cleaner with a suede brush and follow the instructions on the bottle
