Any firm religious believers? I have a question.?

Do you fear dieing?

Update:

What would you do if you were to discover moments from your death that God did not exist? NOT MY BELIEF BUT WHAT WOULD YOU THINK, SERIOUSLY.

If you are talking christian "believers" (they're not all the same, you know) ... I have often wondered the same thing, Mia .. True believers should be foaming at the mouth in excitement to die early, to go be with their Jesus and leave this imperfect world ... they should be jaywalking and smoking like chimneys .. hoping to be "called" sooner rather than later .. don't you think?

I do not fear dying. What I do not look forward to is the temporary separation from my loved ones left here on earth. I would worry more for them. My life would be done, but they would have more to experience -trials as well as joys. I would hope that they had the strength to endure to the end so that we could be reunited after this life. At the same time, there are many who have past on before me that I would like to see again. And many that I would like to meet.

How would you discover (with absolute certainty) before your death that God did not exist? I don't think I would trust it. Short of an angel appearing to me, but wouldn't that confirm that God does in deed exist? I just don't see how you could KNOW that before you die. I think I would still have faith that He exists.

Of course I fear death, though i know in the end what will happen, the process of leaving the ones that i love behind and never being able to impact their lives, never having the opportunity to make more memories is almost depressing, but it gives new value to the term live like you were dying... Don't waste the gift of life!

I might fear the pain of dying if I had a lingering disease or something like that. But I'm looking forward to finally being away from this fallen world and my frail body and receiving a glorified eternal body and being in the presence of God where there is fullness of joy forever.

Contrary to strokinmyharbl's answer, anyone who says no has faith in God. I have no fear of dying, in fact for me, living is great, but to die is gain. When I die, I will go to heaven to be with Jesus. (By the way, I'm not "religious", I've found the Truth.)

I dont fear dying because I know that I will go to Heaven, and I hope that you will too. Everyone has different beliefs about Heaven and Hell and rightly so. I think you should read more about Heaven and Hell from books, including the Bible and see what you think for yourself.

I fear dying because of the after life consequences but if I found out that he didn't exist I would breath my last sigh of relief.

I dont fear dieing, i fear the pain of dieing. And, i fear that i will not feel that i'm ready to be passed on.

no i don't. i will be able to finally meet my God face to face and get to see my husband again. yes ppl cry at funeral, but at some ppl rejoice because they know where their friend has gone. that is what happened at my husband's. we cried a little and rejoiced as well, singing happy upbeat songs about the other side.

if you have no hope, you should fear. if Jesus is your hope, you should look forward to your reward of a better life.

Death is a sweet dream! It is the eternal twin of life, none of them could ever be enjoyed without the other. . .

No as a matter of fact I want to be out here. I had enough of this flesh world. I'm not of this world. But will continue to produce fruit.
