Are some rabbits suicidal before Easter?

One hopped in front of my car today. Unfortunately, whichever neighborhood he was assigned to will be very disappointed tomorrow. Could he not take the pressure or did he just not realize he wasn't hippity hopping on the bunny trail anymore?

I am so sorry to have to tell all of you this

it has been a great secrete for the eternity.

but the reason that bunny ran in front of your car was.

those are the bunnies that fail the Easter Bunny test and are run out of the Corps..

they can not longer use the Easter Bunny name or wear any of their Easter Bunny attire..so these bunnies are actually chase out of town and some of them can not take that humiliation so they either jump off cliffs ( not sure where you live of if there is any cliffs around you ) or nowadays run in front of vehicles.to end it all..because once they are kicked out they can never ever be an Easter Bunny ever again.

Sorry people but it had to come out..now you all know.take pity on them

    Good Luck

Yeah well, since there is no such thing as the Easter bunny, and I rather doubt that rabbits actually have a clue that tomorrow is any different than any other day, I kinda doubt that they are suicidal. That poor bunny was just in the wrong place at the wrong time

I hit one last year!! It was HORRIBLE!

I think there is an increase in rabbits being adopted and farms bringing them out more around Easter and then try and hippity hop themselves away from all the noise and right into the way of on coming trafic

Yes, it is an unfortunate thing, but some rabbits crack under the pressure of having to lay eggs. They don't get much practice at it, and since rabbit eggs are only in demand once a year, they only have a couple weeks to earn a year's income.

I would assume the rate of rabbit suicides at this time are much lower than Turkey suicides in November...lol. I think what looks like Bunnicide is really a result of it being Spring and there being a huge population of them...increasing the odds more of them will play dodge car.

I've got one that has been happily hopping around my yard for the past month. If he's(she's) suicidal, I think a body would be left instead of the rabbit pellets in the yard.

I think they are. They've got all this pressure on them because of this story that they have something to do with Easter. They become self-loathing because of the whole blasphemy thing, and leap in front of cars for penance.

Perhaps the rabbit watch too much Smallville, thought he

was Kryptonian, and decided to ignore the fact that a

car will crush you like an empty beer can shuld it somehow

get above you and just keep going.....It happens, its syndrome

    called roedentus-delusionalis-suicidis,

it happens to all of us, I mean them...

Source(s): anyone seen a carrot, oh crap there is Mr Fudd again.... shhhhh, hes huntig for rabbits.
