We do not celebrate these traditioons either, nor are my Grandchildren, who are between the ages of 7 and 1 week old, taught these lies. We Honor the Feast of YHWH, Passover, and Unleaven Bread. We do not do christmas, we do Hannaka or the Festival of Lights, for Jesus Christ honored this feast when He walked upon the earth.

The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus aren't real to any child over 5 years old. Do you think a four year old child can comprehend the true meaning of Christ's Resurrection, and through His sacrifice our salvation?

Is explaining sex easier than grasping the full text of the Bible? Of course it is, but a 4 year old shouldn't have to worry about such things as sex education.

Is paying off your debts and explaining interest rates easier than explaining the complexities and genius in the Holy Written Word? Of course, but 4 year olds don't care about debt consolidation, so we don't explain it to them.

My parents are Christians and from the beginning I was taught that Santa, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Leprechauns, etc.. are all fun things that we pretend on holidays. I was also taught that since some kids honestly believe in these things, I was not to tell them that they were pretend and cause problems for myself and for them. i had a very happy childhood and feel good about how my parents chose to handle the issue. I have since handled that issue in that manner with my step-son, and he was fine throughout elementary school with it being handled that way. I plan to handle it the same way with my baby.

I feel it is the best way to not ruin the tradition of the majority but still hold true to my beliefs.

I think you need to get over yourself already. Jesus said "I give you the first and foremost commandment, Love God with all your heart and treat others and you would have them treat you. Besides I know there's an Easter Bunny because I had one when I was a kid.
