The word says it all "illegal" immigrants. My parents and other relatives immigrated to the US in the 1960's. They did it legally and suffered through all the paperwork ,BS, and several years that it took to get it done. This country is built on immigrants, but legal immigrants. I saw another poster mention the Native Americans. That just proves that illegal immigrants are not good for the culture that already exists in an area. If they had kicked out the first Europeans that came over illegaly things might be much different.

It is simply not fair that non-citizens receive social benefits that were initially created for less fortunate citizens of this country. If my taxes help someone to get needed medical care or receive some other social program that helps them build a productive life again it benefits me. But if my money is being used to support people that are not now or ever going to contribute into the system then in my mind thatis wasted money.

Immigrants and diversity are a great thing. But immigration must be controlled and illegals need to be sent packing until they are willing to re-enter the country thourgh legal means.

This feelings are extremely strong--- on both sides of the debate.. especially on this forum. Read all the posts under immigration and that should clearly answer your questions. I am an immigrant and am a legal citizen and say-- the illegal crap is just insane. It needs to be brought to an end. Most other countries just won't allow it. Only in USA, where people just walk all over this country due to the open arms that is offered here. Enough is enough. Come here, you are welcome but please come legally.

This country has a lot bigger problems to worry about than immigration. those that are here already should be able to become citizens if they desire. as for the problem If the u.s companies that have operations in the countries that the illegals are coming from i.e. Mexico would pay these people a decent wage there those people would probably stay there

Well, legals are fine, and I see the reason why the illegals came here, and it's NOT to 'take over America' or 'Ruin the US' as some say, it's because they need money.

Also, the US emmigration system can decide not to give someone a Greencard for no reason! Like if they had a bad day, or got into a fight with their spouse/kids which is REALLY unfair.

there isn't an immigration situation, there is o=how ever an illegal immigration situation that need to be taken care of. you can not let the law be so ignored.

It's illegal and they shouldn't be here. Some people argue that they work jobs Americans don't want to and I tell them that if there were no illegals employers would simply increase the wages and many Americans would be willing to work those jobs. Either way, they are illegal and it's sad to see so many people who try to get in legally but cant because of all of the illegals.

WE SEEM TO FORGET THAT MEXICO PUSHED FOR NAFTA AND THEY GOT IT, THEN WHERE ARE ALL THOSE HIGH PAYING JOBS IN MEXICO,, THEIR POLICITAL STRUTCURE IS COORUPT FROM DAY ONE... I DO NOT SEE THEM COMING OUT IN THE TENS OF THOUSANDS TO DEMORSTATE IN MEXICO CITY,,,WHY ,, BECAUSE THEIR NICE PRESIDENT FOX WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

THERE IS COMING A DAY WHEN ALL AMERICANS WILL SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. AND WE WILL TAKE BACK THE RED,WHITE AND BLUE.

well we already have a process to enter this country.it is the president oath to make sure our law are carry out.that is what needs address. all those who are here illegal needs to be deported ,and not allow to reenter this country.million of people come here each year.so can they.i understand the issues they have.but it our country not there.as far as there rights .they have none.our Constitution say we the people of the united states.not the world.personallyi welcome all people.as long as the do it right.now u must uderstand there r many issue with in this one .but all the issue come from how they enter the us
