How do you get a babysitting job?

It helps alot if you have taken a babysitting course at a local hospital. They train you in baby/infant CPR which most parents don't even know how to do!

If you are a teen, try making flyers on the computer, and pass them out in your neighborhood where you see toys in the yard.

Another thing to try is to go to a daycare center, nursery school or kindergarten class, and ask if you can pass out flyers there. If you go to church, ask if you can post a flyer on their boards.

My daughter volunteered in the Church nursery (very large church) and had alot of babysitting jobs just from meeting the parents there, and letting them know she babysits!

If you are an adult, try www.craigslist.org and click on your city. You can put a free ad in the listings. But be careful, there are alot of weirdos out there. Be smart.

If you have neighbors with kids get to know your neighbors and then if they need a babysitter just tell them you are available and then they will just rely on you and tell others about how wonderful you are with there kids and you will have alot of jobs that way that's how i got started .

This answer is from Teri'sidentical twin...lol! Look in the paper, if you are not of age, try a youth employment agency. I was booked up all through my teens.

try craigslist.org put in your city and state and search for services. you can even place ads in there etc. I found my job and apartment thorugh them. Good luck
