is there a correlation between internet and crime?

This is for a final paper for English 1301. Our general topic is media and my argument point in use is internet and crime. I was wondering if any of you can give me some personal insights and if possible any sources that I can rely on to write my paper.

    There is a correlation when a copy cat crime happens.

    Also, when the internet is offering violent games there could be related incident to a crime. Kindest regards.

    Watch the news sometime. According to which pro you ask, everything in this world leads to crime. If it isn't the internet it's playing games or watching cartoons.

    I have noticed that I have a lot less time to rob liquor stores now that I spend more time on the internet.
