Drink a cup of cheer for his soul. He live a full life and grew a passel of family. So he will be remembered. We all have to go home somtime. He at 100 had a long life.

Be happy for him and enjoy your next seventy years.

Think of your g.g.grandfather as a leading force for your life. Think of all the people with 9-11 as a birthday. They don't have the opportunity of looking for a guiding presence like you do. If you look at the bad then you only see it. My mom passed on Ash Wednesday and was buried on Valentines Day. My Aunt passed on the 4th of July. I just look to them and remember them on those days and hope that they can have a hand in my celebrations. It actually makes me feel closer to them at those times. They were both great women and I feel privileged to be in their family.

I think after a hundred years, he had a long and full life, hopefully with a loving family. It's sad that you had it happen, or found out on your bday, but he has moved on to a better place where he will live on forever.

I think its a blessing. He obviously lived a long and full life. Now he gets to see what comes next. And he'll always be watching over you and your family. Its sad because he's left our plane of existance but it doesn't mean that wherever he's going isnt better than here.

I think that all things come to a end. Be glad for the time you had with him. Say a prayer for him and look foward to seeing him again in heaven.
